DIY Bathing Beauty Easter Eggs
We love a good DIY project, so nothing made us happier than creating a new and adorable craft for you all to try this Easter weekend: Bathing Beauty Easter Eggs. We were inspired by vintage photos of bathing beauties in the fancy floral swim caps, and we’re happy to say that our little eggs captured their essence and turned out too adorable for words. Our Easter craft was incredibly easy to make and required only a few items to bring them to life. Ready to make your bathing beauties too? Keep reading for a fun and easy tutorial…
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Hard boiled eggs
- Washi or painters tape
- Acrylic paint
- Mini paper scrapbooking flowers (we used these multicolor paper flowers and these white paper flowers)
- Hot glue gun
- Thin point Sharpie pen
Instructions:
- Use your tape to mark off the edge of the swim cap. Paint the top half of the egg a solid color to be the swim cap’s base. Wait for the paint to dry, then peel off the tape. (Note: If your eggs were sitting in the fridge, allow them to come to room temperature before beginning! Otherwise, the tape and glue will have trouble sticking!)
- Using a hot glue gun, glue the flowers onto the swim cap, one by one. We found that it works best to start at the top and work your way downward.
- Use a Sharpie to draw a face on your Bathing Beauty Easter Egg.
There you have it!
