The Creative Care Package Ideas Our Editors Are Sending
In this time where many people are still practicing social distancing and putting travel plans on hold, we’ve been looking for ways to stay connected to our loved ones from afar. With a little creativity and thoughtfulness, there are so many ways to show your love and support even when you’re apart. Since we haven’t been able to see all of our friends and family like we could before, we’ve been putting together care packages to drop on a friend’s front porch or stick in the mail. We’ve listed a few of our favorite ideas and ways we’ve been connecting with others below…
Homemade Bread with All the Fixings
Like so many others’ I’ve learned to bake sourdough bread during quarantine. I’ve delivered fresh loaves to a few friends and family members, paired with things like jams, cheese, olives, and other fixings to round out the gift. – Ilana, Managing Editor

“Spending more time at home means more home cooked meals! When I make a pot pie I often triple the recipe and make a few. I love being able to drop off a meal at a friend’s home because the greatest gift of all is a night off from cooking and cleaning. – Lauren
Fresh Flowers
Lately I’ve been honing my gardening skills and have been so excited to see all of my flowers blooming! I keep any used glass jars (from pickles, pasta sauce, etc.) so that I always have a makeshift vase on hand to deliver flowers in. They’re a perfect addition to any local care package! – Jessi, Senior Editor
Wine for a Mom’s Night In
Since it will be a while before a real ‘mom’s night out’ can happen, I’ve been gifting wine totes from The Little Market to my mom friends (with a bottle of rosé!). Bonus points if it’s a bottle from Black-owned McBride Sisters Collection. – Ilana, Managing Editor
Your Favorite Art
Recently, I started sharing prints from my favorite artists, like these from Natalie Wohl, and a few that I’ve made to my family and close friends. Whether you love to paint, sketch, or draw, or want to support some of your local artists, gifting art is a great way to show your love. – Kyrena, Editorial Assistant
My go-to for any gift is a handmade candle from The Little Market. I’ve found that in light of recent events, having a candle lit in my house instantly boosts my mood and brings a sense of peace. The Little Market has so many different and delicious scents that there’s bound to be a candle for everyone on their website. – Tessa, Associate Editor
Why not create a care package in an adorable LC Lauren Conrad tote? Fill this tote with snacks, reading material, or even some flip flops. – Jessi, Senior Editor

Hand Sanitizer
I’ve been sending hand sanitizer over to friends in the area, since I know it can be hard to come by right now and people really need it. My favorite is megababe’s Squeaky Clean Hand Sanitizer. – Rachel, Managing Editor
Have you delivered any care packages? If so, what have you send to friends and family?
