Considering the fact that the average American woman is a size 16, it’s surprising to see that many fashion brands still carry a rather limited range of “standard” sizes. I’m happy to say that my Kohl’s collection carries options for both plus-size and petites, and we’ve seen a number of other fashion-forward collections do the same recently. Thankfully, the term plus-size is no longer associated with boring, shapeless clothes, and there are plenty of stylish options that flatter the figures of women with all different body types. So with that in mind, today we are sharing our favorite designers and retailers who are doing it right when it comes to size-inclusive designs. Keep scrolling for the Top 10 list…
This L.A. based brand is one of my personal favorites. Last March they expanded their sizing from 0 to 22 and XS to 3XL with a capsule collection with plus-size model Ali Tate Cutler.
3. 11 Honore
Like Net-a-Porter for the plus-size set, 11 Honore is an online retailer that carries designer collections in sizes 10 to 20. Designers include Jason Wu, Mara Hoffman, Marc Jacobs, Monique Lhullier, and more.
Day/Won is a line of size-inclusive active wear by model Candice Huffine that includes the most flattering leggings, graphic tank tops, biker shorts and more.
Premme is an uber-stylish collection founded by plus-size influencers Gabi Gregg and Nicolette Mason. It’s the place to shop for Instagram-worthy pieces that will make a true style statement.
Modcloth is known for vintage-inspired clothing and accessories from independent designers. What you may not know is that they also offer a wide selection of plus-size pieces in sizes up to 4X.
ASOS is one of those online shopping sites that has everything—including an expansive selection of plus-size offerings, maternity wear, petite, and tall sizing. Whether you’re looking for a special occasion dress, a flattering blouse, or trendy denim, this is your one-stop shop.
Eloquii is a plus-size brand focused on fit and making pieces that are perfectly tailored for curvier body types sizes 14-28. It’s a great place to shop for office appropriate attire along with weekend staples.
ThirdLove claims to make the best fitting bras you’ve ever tried, with a size range from 28 AA to 48 H (also known as DDDDD). Our editors are all big fans of this lingerie brand.
10. Who What Wear for Target
Target is a good place to find plus-size pieces in general, but the Who What Wear collection is the most stylish of retailer’s offerings.
