Chic Peek: Behind The Scenes of My Runway Collection

It’s hard to believe, but we’re officially into the single digits on our LC Runway countdown. Designing and preparing for my first New York Fashion Week runway collection has been the experience of a lifetime. It’s been so much fun creating an extended version of my Kohl’s collection (35 looks to be exact!) and I can’t wait to debut it on September 9^th as a kick off to Fashion Week.

Since we’re getting so close to the runway show, I thought I would give you guys a behind the scene glimpse of what the preparation has looked like at the LC Lauren Conrad headquarters. From brainstorm sessions to creating inspiration boards and finally seeing the clothes and accessories in person, the process has been a dream. My design team and I picked out every detail from fabric and florals to the models’ hair and makeup.

Curating each individual outfit from head to toe has been so much fun for me. Seeing the vision behind the runway collection come to life right was unreal.

Floral, lace, crochet and tulle are just a few of the patterns and textures you can expect to see on the runway.
