Tuesday Ten: January Style Tips

With the first full month of winter upon us, it’s time to dress accordingly. I can see how many people may find it difficult to be stylish while wearing the requisite layers to keep you warm in frigid temps, but trust me when I say that those of us in California actually envy you. There are chicer options than ever when it comes to winter wear—colorful beanies, embellished coats, and don’t even get me started on the endless boot options. If your cold weather wardrobe needs a little TLC, this post is full of inspiration from 10 fashion mavens. Keep scrolling to see which ensembles have me inspired to brave the cold…

pretty in pastels

1. Pretty in pastels.
That’s right, ladies, even winter calls for some pastel hues. Jennifer of Freckles on Fillmore decided to go pink on pink with her beanie, sweater, and coat combination. I couldn’t love it more.

stole is the new scarf

2. Stole is the new scarf.
One wintery piece that recently has my heart is faux fur stoles. Jess Ann Kirby instantly elevated her ensemble with the coveted piece.

nearly neutral on Luella and June

3. Nearly neutral.
An unexpected pop of color can brighten any outfit. Bradley of Luella & June offset her all neutral look with a fun handbag. Plus it’s quite the conversation piece.

skirts of a feather

4. Skirts of a feather.
I love how Jenny of Margo & Me mixed a strong military jacket with a fluttery a feminine skirt in this look. The holidays may be over but your outfit can always been the life of the party.

shades of blue for winter

5. Shades of blue.
Sometimes less really is more. Elena of Cheetah Talk y Mas wears a positively pretty blue sweater with a killer pair of booties. Being a busy mama, this looks like my new uniform.

black winter look on Double Shot of Sass

6. Fashionable fiddler.
Accessory alert: fiddler caps are definitely in. Kailey of Double Shot of Sass paired hers with a strong yet feminine outfit. I love the mini skirt and over the knee look, too.

faux sure, Late Afternoon

7. Faux sure.
Nothing seems to be as cozy as faux fur. After all, it’s the closest thing to leaving the house wrapped in a blanket. Liz of Late Afternoon looks cute and comfy in her oversized faux fur coat.

gray skies ahead

8. Gray skies ahead.
I had to add at least one (almost) monochromatic look into the mix. Aimee of Song of Style wears gray on gray as if it were her job, and she definitely rocks it. Combine textures and prints like Aimee to break up the monotony.

darling in shearling

9. Darling in shearling.
Faux shearling moto jackets are taking center stage, and I’m not mad about it. Arielle of Something Navy shows how easily you can take a casual outfit up a notch with her moto jacket and white heel combo.

embellished blue jean baby

10. Embellished blue jean baby.
Sparkle that goes beyond New Year’s Eve is all right with me. Grasie of Style Me Grasie dressed down her rhinestone and faux fur embellished denim jacket with distressed denim and a fun pair of sneakers.
