The LC.com Edit

Hello, first Friday of the New Year! There’s something about January that has us feeling inspired to shake up our routines and try new things. That may look like a new haircut (have you seen Lauren’s new bob?), a change in your wardrobe, or resolutions you’ve made to keep your heath and wellness in check. In today’s LC.com Edit we’re headed in the direction of a wardrobe overhaul. It seems as if all of our editors are deeming out with the old, in the with the new their 2018 mantra. Keep scrolling to see which pretty pieces Team LC has been obsessing over…

Lauren Conrad short haircut

1. Paper Crown Elsie Top, $225
One of my favorite Paper Crown pieces has to be the Elsie Top. It’s the best blouse to layer under a chic pair of overalls, plus it adds something a little flirty and feminine to any outfit. – Lauren, Editor-in-Chief

Reformation Carina Dress on Lauren Conrad

2. Reformation Carina Dress, $174
I recently wore this dress at the opening of the Kellogg’s store in New York City and loved how comfortable it was. While it may be sold out in the red floral pattern that I specifically wore, it’s just as chic in all of the other color options too. – Lauren, Editor-in-Chief

ban.do smiley sweatshirt

3. Ban.do Smiley Sweatshirt, $72
I picked up this super cute sweatshirt at The Ban.do Mall a few weeks ago, and have barely taken it off since. It’s not only insanely cozy, but also fits really well, and the metallic upside down smiley face is the cutest. I’ve been wearing it to bed, wearing it with jeans for errands, and wearing it when I head to the gym, too. Can’t recommend it enough! – Rachel, Managing Editor

Kate Spade Briley Star Cosmetics Case

4. Kate Spade New York Watson Lane Small Briley Star Cosmetic Case, $98
I desperately need a new cosmetic case, and I’m smitten over this star-spangled Kate Spade version. It will not only keep my makeup tidy and organized, but it makes a statement. It’s pretty enough to be a clutch! – Allison, Managing Editor

Hansel from Basel Socks

5. Hansel From Basel Hairy Short Crew Sock in Pink, $30
Confession: I originally bought these socks as a gift and then decided to keep them for myself. They’re so fun and flirty, whether you simply wear them lounging at home or on out on the town as part of a bold, fashion-forward ensemble. – Ilana, Managing Editor

Paper Crown Harriet Skirt

6. Paper Crown Harriet Skirt, $228
I’ve been trying to expand my wardrobe with more dresses and skirts for church lately, and the Harriet Skirt was one I knew I had to have! It’s such a flattering cut, and I absolutely love the length… and pattern… and pretty much everything about it. – Tessa, Editorial Assistant

HM Sheer Mesh Dress

HM Sheer Mesh Dress

7. H&M Sheer Mesh Dress, $69.99
I love the sheer dress trend right now, especially this option from H&M. I’m obsessed with all things starry right now, so falling in love with the details was easy to do. – Jessi, Senior Editor

The Little Market Ceramic Mug

The Little Market Ceramic Mug

8. The Little Market Ceramic Mug in White and Gold, $26
These white mugs with gold accents are my new favorites. They’re so pretty, and make my morning coffee even more enjoyable. They also make for really amazing gifts! I recently gave them to a friend as a housewarming gift, and she loved them! – Rachel, Managing Editor

You're Saying It Wrong book

9. You’re Saying It Wrong by Ross and Kathryn Petras, $14.99
When I was young, I would mispronounce so many common words that my parents couldn’t help but laugh (and then remind me of it for years), so this Christmas I bought them this book. I got it mostly as a joke, but it’s actually super interesting and after flipping through a few pages I realized there are still some words we are all pronouncing wrong! I’ve since grown up to love English and writing, so this book is so much fun for me. – Tessa, Editorial Assistant

LC Lauren Conrad Moto Jacket

10. LC Lauren Conrad Faux-Suede Moto Jacket, $64
Nothing adds the perfect amount of edge to an outfit like a moto jacket. They’re perfect to dress up or down, especially on a night out. I already have a faux-leather option, so I love this super soft faux-suede jacket from LC Lauren Conrad. – Jessi, Senior Editor
