Selena from @finduslost is back with a brand-new travel installment. This time she’s sharing a photo diary from their visit to Tuscany, Italy! Check out all of her photos below (featuring some of our favorite Spring 2017 Paper Crown pieces, which you can shop at the bottom of the post)…
Hi everyone! Selena from @finduslost here. I’ve been living in Europe for ten months now with my fiancé after moving from Los Angeles last June. We traveled to Gstaad, Switzerland just before spring, and it while it was a breathtaking destination, we were definitely ready for some warmer weather afterwards. Enter: Tuscany, Italy!
In my experience, enjoying pasta, pizza and wine in Italy is the ultimate indulgence. This trip was no exception. We arrived at our home for the weekend at Borgo Case Bardi and immediately fell in love with the property and this less-explored region of Tuscany.
The closest town square to Case Bardi is in a sleepy village called Scansano, perched overlooking rolling hills and vineyards. We spent each evening wine tasting here or getting dinner at a neighboring town once we returned from exploring the region. One of southern Tuscany’s best-kept secrets is a natural mineral bath half an hour south that we couldn’t help but visit twice during our trip! I also loved the drive we did to Porto San Stefano, a picture-perfect boating town with colorful Italian architecture and delicious local seafood.
Southern Tuscany was so quiet in springtime, we rarely ran into other tourists! Authentic Italy without the crowds is definitely the best version of Italy.
If Italy is in your travel plans, I highly recommend staying in the southern region of Tuscany. It’s incredible.
Where should we go next?
