Week No. 2: Say Sayonara to Alcohol

Welcome to the second week of our new and improved Jumpstart January challenge! If you’re just now joining us, it’s never too late to start. At the beginning of each year we make it a resolution to put our best foot forward and kick up our health game. In previous years, we’ve started the New Year with a very specific diet and fitness plans. While these plans have done wonders for us in the past, we decided to mix things up for 2017. Our new and improved Jumpstart January plan provides new health challenges for our readers each week, helping all of us to make lasting habits throughout the year. In our first installment we kicked off our weekly challenge with working out 5 days a week. We don’t know about you, but we feel as motivated as ever to keep it up after hitting the gym every day last week. If you’re feeling strong too, we’re now going to introduce you to our next challenge…

  • Week 1: Work out 5 days a week
  • Week 2: Say sayonara to alcohol
  • Week 3: Nix processed foods and white sugar
  • Week 4: Lights out by 11p.m.
  • Week 5: Take 10,000 steps a day for a solid week

Today marks the beginning of our second challenge: say goodbye to alcohol. We may have overdone it during the holidays so we feel like this one shouldn’t be as difficult to follow through with this week! We recommend trying out a juice cleanse to help detox your system or whipping up some healthy smoothies throughout the week. If you’re feeling tempted, the best thing that you can do for your body is replace your alcohol intake with as much water as possible. That sounds pretty doable, right? We know that you can do it!
