This week’s Chic of the Week is breaking rules and looking fabulous while doing it! That pesky old no-white-after-Labor-Day rule? Adios! Labor Day has long come and gone, and we don’t know about you, but white is still in our fall palette. You can keep it crisp with a maroon blouse or cozy it up with a caramel sweater. However this rule-breaker is styled, white is the neutral in our closet this fall that we’re planning on wearing over and over…
A warm welcome to our newest Chic of the Week, Mollie!
We love everything about Mollie’s outfit from the ‘90s inspired lace-up sweater to her over-the-knee suede boots. Cozy neutrals naturally pair so well with the crisp, vibrant hues of fall. We adore how Mollie’s entire outfit is a variant of the same color palette (with the exception of the fabulous rule-breaking white pants after Labor Day, of course!). The over-the-shoulder bowling bag adds the perfect amount of contrast to this getup while still maintaining a neutral, understated feel. And, of course, don’t forget the accessories! Mollie’s dainty jewelry and cool-girl aviators are the perfect touch to polish off this outfit. Here is what this week’s Chic had to say about it…
I’ve really been loving neutrals lately, which is a big shift from what I was loving this summer (aka color, color, color). There’s something about fall that just makes me reach for a cozy and calm color palette. One of my go-to looks is white jeans with OTK boots. The “no white after Labor Day” rule is so dated! There is nothing more chic than a winter white look. Here, I styled my white jeans with cognac OTK boots and a lace up sweater. My finishing touch was this gorgeous vintage Louis Vuitton Nile bag.
Thank you for sharing your fall look with us, Mollie!
