When we say picture your favorite T-shirt, it’s safe to say that most of us can instantly imagine our beloved comfy oversized tees. While they may be a go-to, we dread the thought of looking frumpy when showing up to a work meeting or drinks with our girlfriends. Thanks to our latest Chic of the Week we’ve been re-introduced to tunics—the perfect alternative to the oversized T-shirt. Tunics are longer, and are a bit more elevated than the casual tee. They can resemble a cute sundress, but are also perfect to wear over a pair of jeans. This week’s Chic has the perfect transitional tunic to take us from hot summer well into fall. Read on to see why we are currently obsessed with tunics…

Congrats to our latest Chic, Haley!

Summer tunics

We're loving Haley's summer tunic

Haley is strolling around the neighborhood in an adorable oversized bohemian printed tunic. She is wearing a light blue bucket bag on one shoulder and a canvas bag for shopping in the other hand—ideal for a day on the town! We’re smitten with Haley’s gladiators and straw hat (two summer accessories that we can’t live without!). Aviator sunnies and simple jewelry are the best way to top this outfit off. Here’s what Haley had to say about her outfit…

The second I laid my eyes on this Free People tunic I knew I had to have it!  The silhouette is so versatile; you can wear it with shorts and sandals right now, paired with a skirt and over-the-knee boots in the early fall, and with denim skinnies and booties for fall and winter!  It can also be dressed up or down easily. I went for a casual look for a trip to the farmer’s market and brought my favorite reusable tote!

Thank you Haley for sharing your summer style with us! We absolutely love seeing what looks you have up your sleeve!
