Tuesday Ten: July Style Tips

Welcome to the first full month of summer! In addition to celebrating one of my favorite holidays, July also means that you can officially say goodbye to any traces of spring left in your closet. That’s right, it’s time to stock up on staples like denim cutoffs and flip flops. I’m excited to start the month with some serious style inspo and that means a fresh batch of style tips for all of you! If you’re like me and looking to elevate your typical summer uniform, then you’re going to want to keep reading. Midi skirts with lots of movement, patriotic stars and stripes, and flouncy sundresses are just a few of the items that I’ve had my eye on.

Below I’ve included 10 fashion bloggers whose summer wardrobes are right on trend for the warm weather we’ve been having. I hope they inspire you as much as they’ve inspired me…

July Style Tips from LaurenConrad.com

1. Summer stripes.

I like my summer wardrobe to reflect the best that this season has to offer. That being said, I’m always drawn towards white denim and nautical stripes, just like Bradley of Luella & June. There’s just something about stripes that brings me back to summer days at the beach and warm nights with good company.

2. Polka dot party.

Mix it up this summer with a bold print like this polka dot skirt on Andi Potamkin Blackmore for J.Crew. Since the skirt is the center of attention in this outfit, minimal accessories will do the trick. How sweet are her lace up flats, too?

 July Style Tips: Jumpsuit Up

3. Jumpsuit up.

This month is all about kicking your basics up a notch. While you can never go wrong with a white tee, why not wear it under a chic jumpsuit like Coco of Millennielle did above? Paired with some sunnies and sneakers, this look is perfect for a day around town.

4. Poolside pretty.

This month’s style tips wouldn’t be complete without a swimsuit. This year is all about the one-piece and Jenny of Margo & Me couldn’t wear it any better. The dainty cut outs make her swimsuit that much more chic. Be sure to compliment your suit with oversized sunnies and straw tote bag.

5. Think internationally.

It’s no surprise that the best fashion comes from across the pond. Improve your wardrobe this season by adding a touch of Parisian flare. Take notes from Nicole of Gary Pepper Girl in her striped tee and ultra-cool cropped trousers.

July Style Tips: Shift Into Summer

6. Shift into summer.

There’s nothing worse than a clingy dress when the temperatures hit record highs. Taylor of Little Blonde Book is keeping it cool in her pale blue shift dress, a silhouette that I love during the warm summer months. Keep the sun out of your eyes with a Panama hat and top it all of with adorable wedge espadrilles.

White hot in July

8. White hot.

White is always a good idea in my book. Cella Jane is a monochromatic dream in her white popover romper and blazer combination. Add a pop of color with a statement bag and coordinating manicure and you’re good to go.

July Style Tips: Be a Bohemian Babe

9. Be a bohemian babe.

Summer is the perfect occasion to wave your boho flag. Wrap dresses are subtly sexy and can double as a swimsuit cover up. Kelsey of Something Beachy is a bohemian babe in her rust colored maxi and bare feet! Time to find the nearest beach…
