Tuesday Ten: June Style Tips

Welcome to the first summer installment of my monthly Style Tips! Can you believe that it’s officially time to shop for the warmer months? You won’t see me complaining, I am a true summer girl through and through. Because of that I thought it would be appropriate to include pieces that go hand in hand with plenty of sunshine. For the month of June I’ve rounded up 10 style tips that include off the shoulder tops, dreamy rompers, and cut-out dresses that add a touch of sexy to your average summer wardrobe. What’s not to love?

Below are 10 complete outfits that will help you revamp your closet just in time for June 20th (that’s the first day of summer if you didn’t already know!).

See these fresh outfit ideas to ring in the summer months

1. Gorgeous in gingham.

This outfit screams summer to me (bike included!). I love the fluttery off the shoulder dress that Kristen of Bungalow 1 is wearing. It’s playful gingham print reminds me of a picnic on a warm summer day.

Pastel pleats are perfect to add to your summer wardrobe

2. Pastel pleats, please.

It’s no surprise that I have an affinity for pastels. Annie Reeves found the cutest pleated skort and paired it with my go-to closet staple, a button-up blouse. Pop on some periwinkle flats like Annie did and you have yourself a colorful summer ensemble.

Wear cutouts for a fresh summer look

3. Be a cutout queen.

One of my favorite trends this season has to be cutout dresses. There’s something sweet and subtly sexy about the playful designs in this dress! Taylor-Rae of Style Soufflé accessorized her look with some fresh blooms and a perfect pony—perfection!

4. Step out in espadrilles.

I adore this outfit for obvious reasons—blush pink and white denim are my favorite combination! My love for a clean color palette aside, espadrilles are slowly taking over my shoe collection. Christine of The View From 5’2” completed her look with a pair of sneaker-inspired espadrilles that are too cute to boot.

Rompers are recommended when dressing for perfect summer style

5. Romp around.

There’s nothing more versatile and comfortable than a romper. Dress them up with heels and baubles or go casual like Sydney of Summer Wind and tie a denim jacket around your waist. The possibilities are endless!

6. One breezy babe.

Warm summer days call for breezy sundresses. There’s nothing worse than feeling restricted on a sweltering day! Coco of Millennielle is the definition of the season in her trendy wedges, sundress, and fedora. Less is more, especially with a printed dress like this one.

Taupe is in for this sweltering summer!

7. Totally taupe.

High-waisted trousers are still on my radar, especially when they’re as beautiful as this taupe pair that Blake Von D is sporting above. With a clean and classic color combination like this one, this outfit can easily be transitioned from day to night. Plus Blake’s accessories are as effortlessly gorgeous as her outfit, hello corresponding choker and white mini bag!

8. Jumpsuit for joy.

Step out of your comfort zone this season and add a jumpsuit to your wardrobe. Jen Hawkins looks like a summer babe in her pretty white jumpsuit with a strategic cutout. Add a pop of color with a bright headscarf and round sunnies. This outfit has vacation written all over it!

9. Keep it casual.

As much as I love dressing up, I’ll always be a casual girl through and through. On those lazy summer days you can put in minimal effort and still look completely put together. Courtney of A Thoughtful Place looks farmer’s market ready with her adorable tote, comfy V-neck, and Converse.

10. Flutter in ruffles.

I’m a fan of anything that will catch a summer breeze. That being said, I love this light blue romper that Erica of Erie Nick is wearing. Her mini straw handbag and bedazzled necklace don’t distract from her romper, but still add a special touch.
