This post comes to us from a fashion blogger that we adore, Emily of Stiletto Beats. Today she’s sharing her best advice on what to wear for all of those pre-wedding festivities…
Hi ladies, it’s Emily from Stiletto Beats. As a soon-to-be-bride I find that the hardest task in wedding planning is dressing for the smaller occasions leading up to the big day: The kick-off engagement party, your sweet bridal shower and of course the jitter-filled rehearsal dinner. Channeling all that is romantic and feminine is key, and what better collection to find that in than Lauren’s own Paper Crown line!
So, what should you wear exactly? And what should your bestie wear? To help answer these questions today, I’ve pulled some of my favorite Paper Crown styles and created effortless looks for all your pre-wedding events. I hope it leaves you feeling inspired (and from one bride to another) a little less stressed!
For The Bridal Shower
Bridal showers are a time for girls to be girls—think tea parties and bubbly! For the bride: wear a long romantic, Grecian style dress like this Sonoma dress. Be sure to add a few dainty gold jewels like a charm necklace and bangles. For the guest: pack on the color! A vibrant knee-length number (like the Joliet dress shown below) paired with tassel earrings and a bright bold lip will be the perfect complimentary outfit to the soon to be Mrs. And to tie all of your guests together, bring flower crowns or make them yourselves!
For The Rehearsal Dinner
The rehearsal dinner is the final event leading up to the big day… And that thought can be daunting! But rehearsal dinners are filled with your closest friends and family. They’re a time to let your emotions run wild. For the bride: Keep it simple and classic. You don’t want to outshine your look for the wedding. A personal favorite of mine is Paper Crown’s Natalie dress—a strapless, flowy gown. I added an on-trend touch with a choker and a sleek low ponytail. For the guest: Opt for soft colors and ethereal silhouettes like the Carlsbad Crepe Gown.
For The Engagement Party
Get your dancing shoes on! The engagement party is all about having a good time and kicking off the amazing celebration. For the bride: Channel a sexy yet tasteful vibe with a dress that honors your curves. My favorite is the Paper Crown Saugatuck dress. Timeless white pumps, chandelier earrings and a bright red lip are excellent finishing touches. For the guest: Pair the pretty printed Danbury dress with a complimentary pop of color with your shoes.
For The Bachelorette Party
The infamous bachelorette party is your last hoorah as a single woman! Show some skin and be flirty with your looks. For the bride: Opt for a matching set that will have all eyes on you. For the guest: Go for a ruffled hem romper and strappy sky-high heels.
I hope these looks leave you feeling inspired…
