Hi readers! It’s Amber from Barefoot Blonde, here to share another one of my favorite hairstyles with you. It’s no secret that braids are some of my favorite styles to share with my followers! They’re an everyday hairstyle—especially during wedding season. For brides that are looking to find an updo that will still be in style for years to come, a romantic braid is always a winner. If you’re a wedding guest, braids are an easy way to sweep your hair out of your face so that you can enjoy an evening out on the dance floor! What’s not to love?

Below, I’ve created a simple tutorial that takes an average braid and turns it into something a little more elegant. If you’ve never heard of a double braid, keep scrolling to see how you can achieve this look on your own locks! Textured Double Braid Tutorial

1. Separate your hair in half. Use the bottom section to make a three-strand braid.

2. Spray with a flexible hold hairspray and begin to pull each section apart as much as possible—making it look extra chunky!

3. Take the top section of hair and do a three-strand braid. Pull it apart slightly.

4. Put the top braid on top of the bottom one and secure both with the same elastic. Then use bobby pins to pin the two braids together.

And there you have it! There’s nothing better than a quick and easy hairstyle that’s equal parts chic. Thanks for the tutorial, Amber!
