Recreate Lauren's feminine and modern hair jewelry look with these gorgeous pieces on LaurenConrad.com

There’s no way we could continue with our May Wedding Bells theme here on LC.com without a nod to one of my favorite trends lately: hair jewelry. I got to play around with this trend a lot on my Celebrate book tour with all the looks my hairstylist Kristin Ess created, and fell in love with it. Not only is it something that can be worn day-to-day, but with the right pieces it can transform the ensemble of any bride (or bridesmaid!). Whether it’s a headband, comb, hair chain, or even just a few blinged out bobbies, adding a little sparkle to your hair is such a fun and easy way to dress up your bridal ‘do without going overboard.

That being said, don’t be afraid to wear this as a daytime look, even if you’re not a soon-to-be bride. I loved how it added just a touch of glam to my outfit, and there are so many unique pieces out there, you can truly customize the look to any occasion. Here are a few of my favorite pieces, no matter what your personal style is…

Whimsical & Romantic

With warm-toned metals, pearls, and floral accents, these pieces are the perfect addition to that naturally ‘undone’ look. Just add a few messy curls and waves for an effortless summer festival style, or try them with an up-do for a touch of romance on your wedding day. You really can’t go wrong with any of these whimsical pieces…

Glammed Up

Whether you’re heading to an ultra-formal event or just want to feel extra glamorous for a night out, these pieces will easily help you steal the spotlight. I mean, what girl doesn’t like the idea of crystals in her hair?

Just a Touch

Even if you’re not into a full-fledged bejeweled look, there are plenty of more understated pieces that can still pull a look together with ease. If you’d rather add just a touch of shimmer, opt for some pretty hairpins or a hair chain sans embellishment. Here are a few of my favorites…

1. Ditsy Floral Bobby Hair Pin Set, $14

Add just a touch of shimmer to your hair with these pieces of hair jewelry

2. ASOS Reclaimed Vintage Star Clip, $14.56

  • I’m loving the hair jewelry trend! The only downside is that a lot of the pieces seem to be really pricey and finding lovely budget options isn’t all that easy.. xx

We hear you, Jenni! But don’t worry, we found some seriously affordable pieces as well. Check out ASOS – they carry a ton of options, starting as low as about $10-15. 🙂 Hope you find something great!

This was a fad many decades ago (i.e., the ’50s). My mom had some rhinestones attached to very fine metal coils that you twisted into your hair. It looked like you just happened to have diamonds sparkling among your locks. Best done on attached hair so they don’t slide out.

That sounds so beautiful. There’s nothing more romantic and glam than a few gems in your hair! 🙂

  • I love hair acessories, thay can transform the whole look! My favorite way to wear them is with side waves, it always looks so chic! <3

  • These are all so beautiful, but #1 has got to be my absolute favorite <3 🙂 Everything is so romantic and pretty! Hair jewelry is definitely a more subtle wedding accessory, but I also love how it just brightens up the whole face!
