LaurenConrad.com's favorite perfumes for spring

If you’ve ever been on the hunt for a new fragrance to add to your beauty repertoire, you might have felt like the whole process was a little daunting. It’s not easy to find that perfect scent that you want to wear all day—one that captures your essence in just one spritz. All of us on Team LC recently faced this dilemma. With spring in full swing and summer quickly approaching, we wanted to switch things up and swap out our winter scents for lighter, fresher fragrances.

So, four of our editors decided to tackle this beauty challenge head-on in hopes that we could share some tips on how to make the fragrance hunt a little easier. We headed out to one of our favorite beauty stores, Sephora, and each of us walked away with something new and different that we love. And today, we thought we’d do a little review of each of them here on the site for you!

Take a peek below to see what scents we’re wearing this spring, and read our tips on how to find a fragrance that speaks to you…

Tocca Emelia

I approached finding my new spring fragrance the same way I approach any shopping endeavor: I look for pieces that speak to me and fit my sense of style. Buying a fragrance is just like buying clothing, makeup and jewelry—if you choose something that matches your style, you will love it! This is how I felt when I found my newest scent obsession, Tocca Emelia. I love the fruity notes of clementine and citrus, and the hints of magnolia and geranium balance out the sweetness. I’ve already gotten compliments while wearing it, so I know it must be the right scent for me.Ilana, LaurenConrad.com

Atelier Cologne’s Bergamote Soliel Cologne Absolute

This was the third time I’d gone shopping for a new perfume, and I always find this process super exciting but also quite tricky. I’m really particular about the perfumes I wear and rarely change up my signature scent… Hence the reason I’ve fragrance shopped so infrequently! But, I am happy to report that I fell in love with Atelier Cologne’s Bergamote Soliel Cologne Absolute. This perfume is described as “sunny, effervescent, and floral,” which are words that can describe some of my favorite things in life. My best tip when perfume shopping? Go for a fragrance that mimics a smell you love in real life. Do you love the smell of roses, the beach, or vanilla cookies? Then those are the notes you will probably enjoy wearing as a fragrance, too. –Allison, LaurenConrad.com Editor

CLEAN Reserve Blonde Rose

First, let me say that I very rarely change up my perfume. I’m pretty picky about my scents, and often prefer a barely-there, clean and subtle fragrance. However, I’ve been ready for a change for a while now, so I took this opportunity to find my newest signature scent! And if you know me, then it should come as no surprise that the new spring scent I found is called CLEAN Reserve Blonde Rose. It’s not too different from what I normally wear, but has floral notes and hints of musk. I think one of the best things to keep in mind when shopping for a new scent is to pick a perfume that only has subtle changes from your go-to scent. The rose, peony and musk notes in CLEAN Reserve Blonde Rose make it different enough from my regular perfume, but it already feels like an old favorite.Rachel, LaurenConrad.com Editor

Sephora Favorites Deluxe Perfume Sampler

Confession: I actually didn’t walk away with one fragrance on our perfume hunt… But what I did find was the Sephora Favorites Deluxe Perfume Sampler. I can be a pretty indecisive shopper, so this was the perfect package for me to bring home. Now I can take my time trying out a ton of scents, and switching it up every so often. Right now the Chloe Love Story scent is #1 on my list, but I’ll still be trying out a few other ones before I go back to Sephora to get the larger size in anything. Plus, each bottle in this package is so adorable, and can go right in your carry-on suitcase too. Things are just cuter when they’re mini, right?Jessi, LaurenConrad.com Associate Editor

  • Dolce and Gabana Light Blue is hands down my favorite perfume! Sephoras samplers are great too because it can be hard to find a scent you love without spending a ton of money!

  • I recently discovered Laure Mercier Vanille eau Gourmand and absolutely love it. I do have to say it reminds me a little bit of the Aria hotel in Las Vegas (which is my favorite hotel on the Strip, ever!) so I’m biased in that I love the perfume but it honestly is a great smelling scent for spring!
