April has been a fun month for all of us on Team LC, and we keep finding reasons to get dressed up! Whether it was for one of our birthdays or attending one of Lauren’s book signing events, our closets have been our best friends. When we have multiple events back-to-back, it get’s tricky finding new outfits without spending a ton. A great way to avoid outfit repeats (which is completely acceptable, by the way) is to wear a two-piece outfit. That way, you can reuse the top or skirt and wear it in a completely different way. Our latest Chic gives us an incredible example of how to create a gorgeous two-piece ensemble. See for yourself…
Haley knows how to style a two-piece outfit! She can easily transform both of her pieces into new ensembles. We love the pastel pink monochromatic skirt and wrap top she paired with her rose gold statement necklace. Other great elements she added were her bright red lips and olive green jacket. Here’s what Haley had to say about her outfit…
Midi skirts might be on your “I could never wear that” list if you aren’t super tall (they used to be on mine!), or maybe you just aren’t sure how to style one. That’s why I wanted to show you how to rock a midi skirt while flattering your figure regardless of your height! Here are some tips…
- Try a midi skirt in a sheer fabric with a shorter layer underneath.
- Pair your midi skirt with a modest crop top.
- If you can’t find the perfect crop top, opt for a fitted top, and tuck it in.
- Define your waist with a shirt that ties or a chic belt.
- Polish your look with nude sandals or classic pumps.
Thank you, Haley, for the incredible midi-skirt tips and outfit inspiration!
Are you a fan of the midi skirt? What’s a way you re-wear pieces in your closet?
