I’m pretty excited to be sharing today’s post with you all. About a month ago, my team and I got together to shoot some style guides and spring trend stories to post here on LaurenConrad.com. We teamed up with my good friend and photographer Yoni Goldberg, stylist Katie Bofshever, makeup artist Carissa Ferreri and hair stylist Paul Norton. This shoot was something I’ve been wanting to do on the site for a while now, and I think you’re all going to love this new series!
Today’s post is all about the new staple sweater of the season. I have always believed that even though we might have our go-to basics on heavy rotation throughout the year (whether it’s your favorite black pump or your trusty navy blue blazer), it’s a good idea to update those staples to follow the trends. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting following every single trend the moment it hits the runway. Instead, I’d recommend investing in updated versions of your favorite pieces each season. That said, today I’ll be focusing on my new staple sweater of the season: the turtleneck.
Take a peek below to see how I styled my favorite turtleneck and be sure to shop the look too…
This Season’s Sweater: The Turtleneck
Get Lauren’s Look…
In past years, my go-to sweater was a crew neck or cardigan. But recently, I’ve been reaching for nothing but cozy turtlenecks. I love the silhouette of a slouchy knit sweater that’s chunky yet relaxed. Style it with your favorite pair of worn-in jeans and you have yourself the perfect weekend uniform (I think Fitz agrees!).
The turtleneck I’m wearing above is by Iris Von Arnim, my jeans are 6397 and my rings are by Vita Fede. Carissa created my lip color using Kevin Aucoin’s Lip Pencil in Bloodroses and Tom Ford’s Patent Finish Lip Color in Exposed.

I hope you guys like this first installment of my new series. Be sure to stay tuned for my next This Season’s Staples post focused on the new black pump, coming soon.
