Pink, pink, pink… this innocent yet bold color can sometimes be intimidating. We all know how to display pink hydrangeas on our coffee table and even how to rock a pink ballet flat. But when it comes to a bright pink dress, how do we wear it? Our latest Chic of the Week perfectly displays how to flaunt the gorgeous color — and just in time! Valentine’s Day is only two days away. Keep scrolling to learn how to wear the daring color on this love filled weekend…
We love how confident Carly is looking in that outfit! She layered her dress with a white cape, stepped into a chic pair of black pumps, and grabbed a snakeskin clutch. Tip for the hesitant — when you layer a neutral piece on top of your bold colored article of clothing, it calms down the brightness of the outfit. To go with her fun & flirty ensemble, Carly wore a vivid lip to match the dress, pulled her hair into a topknot, and put on some stylin’ sunnies. Here is what Carly had to say about the inspiration behind her bold color choice…
Every year I try to push myself into a few things a tad bit uncomfortable, and this year…it’s pink. Ok, don’t sign me off just yet LC readers, it’s you that got me into this think pink party and I’m hoping to stay and play for a while. Enter this radiant Ramy Brook Number: just in time for Valentine’s Day. I’m not one to typically dress to the nines for this holiday but I have to admit it’s pretty fun and festive to get in the spirit. Plus, it gives me that rare opportunity to wear my pink lipstick in the middle of winter! I balanced off the bright with some fierce pumps and a blazer, and sealed the deal with you guessed it, the Bun. Now to decide if this get-up’s for girls’ night out, or romantic eve with the hub…thoughts?
We can’t wait to try out a look like Carly’s this weekend!
