Something that I’ve learned over the course of my adulthood is to be more intentional. I try to be intentional with relationships, friends, and work (and everything else in between!). It’s important to make your life purposeful in every department, even your closet. Trust me, I’ve been clothes crazed and believed that if an item was cute, it deserved to be hanging in my wardrobe. Luckily, I’ve tossed that way of thinking to the curb. Now when I go shopping, I keep an eye out for versatile pieces that can be incorporated into many different outfits. When I came across this week’s Chic, I knew that she shared the same shopping philosophy. From her long-sleeved shirt to her black booties, each piece in her outfit can seamlessly transitioned into a whole new look. Keep scrolling to see what I mean…

Congrats to our latest Chic of the Week, Aubry!

Each piece in our Chic of the Week's outfit can seamlessly transition into a whole new look

A romantic shade of burgundy on this week's Chic!

Our Chic of the Week rocks a sweet turtleneck sweater.

See what I mean? Each one of Aubry’s pieces is sweet, stylish, and effortlessly transitional. When she takes off her sweater it looks like she’s wearing an entirely new ensemble. I can’t decide which piece is my favorite—her fold-over clutch and turtleneck sweater are tied for first! Here’s what Aubry had to say about her look…

I’ve always been a fan of warm, cozy layers… When I saw this poncho sweater, I knew we’d be great friends. I like to pair it with really good basics (long sleeve tunics + ponte leggings) and minimal jewelry. The key is to let the poncho do all the talking.

Thanks for sharing your favorite look with us, Aubry!

What’s your shopping mantra?

I’d love to hear in the comments!
