Gift Guide: For the Guys

Fathers, brothers, boyfriends, guy friends, and husbands. No matter what your relationship, men are notoriously hard to shop for. Get a girl a candle or a soft, warm scarf, and she’s pretty much guaranteed to like it. But guys just aren’t that easy… (And chances are they don’t have a ‘wish list’ Pinterest board like your gal pals do either.) So in order to bring you today’s gift guide, we put all of our heads together and also brought in a few of our best guy friends to share their own picks. Whether the men on your list are dapper gents, rugged adventurers, or anything in between, there’s something for everyone…

gift ideas for guys

1. Corkcicle Whiskey Wedge, $18
This ice mold is one of the coolest bar accessories we’ve seen. Just add water to the glass, insert the whiskey wedge, and freeze, for a wedge-shaped ice cube that is molded to your glass. If the guy on your list is the type who dreams of a bar cart as well-stocked as Don Draper’s, he’ll be sure to appreciate this little gadget.

2. J. Crew Drake’s English Silk-Wool Tie in Fox Print, $165
Getting your guy a necktie doesn’t have to be boring. That adorable fox print tie from J. Crew will spruce up his suits a bit.

3. Soludos Men’s Canvas Derby Lace Up, $75
We all have a pair (or two) of Soludos in our own closets, and we recently discovered that they have a great selection of shoes for guys too. They’ll be his new favorite pair of shoes.

4. TGT Americana 2.0 Slim Minimalist Elastic and Leather Wallet, $36
This little wallet is super slim yet super sturdy. It eliminates bulk, but still fits every card he needs to carry. And we have quite a few guy friends who have it and love it, so we’re pretty sure it’ll be well received.

5. Cupsco 12 Cup Stainless Beer Pong Kit, $100
Playing beer bong post-college is only acceptable if you swap your red Solo cups for a set of stainless steel ones like these. Let your guy relive his college fraternity glory days with this purely fun gift.

6. Duluth Pack Roll-Top Scout Pack (see more styles here), $135
This bag is perfect example of form meets function. It’s a great sleek and practical carryall for bikers, students, and commuters alike.

7. Aheirloom State Shaped Cutting Board, $48
We love a gift that can be personalized, and these bamboo cutting boards come in the shape of every state and can also be engraved. If the man on your list loves to cook, he’ll love this thoughtful gift.

8. Gentlemen’s Hardware Just the Right Tool, $16
For the guy who loves tools, this little pocket-sized tool includes a can opener, knife blade, screwdriver, ruler, bottle opener, position wrench, butterfly wrench, saw blade, 2 position wrench, direction ancillary indication, and lanyard hole.

9. West Elm Domino Box Set, $39
This wood and inlaid brass dominoes set is great for game night, but it also makes a rather classy piece of décor. It’s fun to tote along to holiday parties and for game nights all year long, too.

10. CourseHorse Gift Card, price varies
What do you get the guy who has everything? If the man on your list is a minimalist who doesn’t want any more stuff, get him the gift of a hands-on class in an area he’s interested in. From cooking to photography to beyond, CourseHorse is a great way to find classes in your area, and they offer gift cards.
