Being a California girl born and raised, you’d think that summer would be my all-time favorite season. Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time at the beach as much as the next person. But fall has been and will always be my number one. That being said, I’m overjoyed to embrace deeper hues, thicker layers and (hopefully) cooler days. When it comes to all things autumn, dressing for the season has to be my favorite part. Even though the first taste of the season is upon us, our latest Chic of the Week is already fully embracing richer color schemes. What’s not to love? Keep scrolling to see what I mean…

Say hello to our latest style maven, Emily!

This week's Chic is a monochromatic maven.

Check out those ear crawlers.

We share an affinity with stacked midi rings with our latest Chic.

We're all about the texture on this crocodile clutch.

Meet our latest Chic, Emily!

This is one gorgeous monochromatic outfit! The unique texture of Emily’s shift dress is enough to have me swooning. Not only does the color of her dress match her wedge sandals, but the faux leather detail can be found throughout as well. Emily took a break from her Marsala color scheme with the pop of grey in her faux crocodile clutch (another amazing texture!). When the weather gets cooler all you need to do is layer on some tights and throw on a chunky sweater and you’re good to go! It’s obvious that I’m smitten with this outfit, so here’s what Emily had to say about it…

Who’s excited for cool mornings, chilly nights, hot coffee, and all things fall? Me me me! It’s my ultimate favorite season for shopping because of the rich color palettes, luxe fabrics, and layering pieces involved in getting dressed every day. While this super chic (faux) leather dress may not be your everyday go-to piece, it has just the right amount of edginess you need to push your style limit to the next level. And what girl doesn’t want that kind of ammo in her closet? Marsala is the Pantone Color of 2015 so there’s another reason to covet this dress! Since it’s high on attitude, I love it paired back with a monochromatic shoe, and simple accessories to complement the look, not overpower it.

My favorite part about Emily’s outfit? She sells these pieces and many more in her mobile boutique, Rack + Clutch. That’s right, Emily and her husband have a food truck that they’ve renovated to create a unique shopping experience. Talk about a girl boss! If you’re in the St. Louis area, be sure to find the truck!
