Hello Lauren Conrad readers—It’s Maritza Buelvas of Beauty For Bloggers sharing two hairstyles that are super easy to replicate and pair with any fall outfit. So whether you’re heading to class, work or just a fun day out—we’ve got you covered with some easy, cool girl hair!
The Editor Pony
The first look is a dramatic ponytail I like to call The Editor Pony—using my special technique for building volume. All you need is the following:
Step 1: This look involves a two-in-one ponytail technique to add volume, hold hair in place and keep your pony from being weighed down. First, you’re going to part your hair near your Occipital Bone and create your base ponytail using your first elastic band. Basically you’re aligning your ponytail with the tops of your ears to create a base for your next ponytail to lay on top of so your hair never falls flat.
Step 2: Next, take the remaining top portion of your hair near the crown and join it with your first ponytail by wrapping all of your hair together (the top and lower halves) using the second elastic band.
Step 3: Pinch hair at the top, pulling it outwards to instantly create volume (and a slightly messy feel).
Step 4: Create no-fail lift and fullness for your ponytail by using volumizing hairspray and backcombing with a teasing comb. Add a bobbi like I did here to keep things whimsical and add further interest.
The final look is relaxed, sexy volume that lasts and lasts.
A big trend in hair for NYFW Spring 2015 was the non-braid, and this look is one of the easiest ways to set off this trend…and get out the door quickly. All you need is the following:
- A teasing comb (if your hair is on the thinner side)
- Three clear elastic bands
- Volume spray
- Hair pins (just in a case for strays)
Step 1: Place your hair in a loose ponytail at the crown using the first of three clear elastic bands. Tease your hair before doing this first step if you need more volume.
Step 2: Split your ponytail in two sections and twist both sections away from each other. Hold the twists in place with a second elastic band.
Step 3: Repeat the process from step two, but this time twist sections toward each other. Hold this section in place with your third elastic band.
Step 4: Pancake your strands by tugging at the hair in each section to give fullness and a fashion edge. Hold style in place with volume spray.
