Wedding season is fast approaching, which means that many of you have at least one or two bridal showers popping up on your calendar. I’ve had a few girlfriends ask me recently what I recommend wearing to a shower for your favorite bride-to-be, so I thought I’d pull together some of my favorite looks for the occasion.
When it comes to bridal shower style, there’s really only one hard and fast rule: don’t wear white, unless the bride requests that you do. Most brides-to-be will want to be the only ones in white at their wedding celebrations (bachelorette parties and engagement showers included). So if you’re attending a shower as a guest, make sure to add some color to your ensemble. Now, this isn’t necessarily a rule, but I recommend steering clear of anything too dark or heavy, like an all black outfit. A bridal shower should be a light, airy and beautiful celebration. So unless the shower is taking place in the dead of winter, I recommend opting for feminine florals, pretty pastels and classic silhouettes.
So without further ado, here are my top picks for what to wear to a bridal shower… whether you’re the bride-to-be or a guest. Take a look…
