The temperatures have been quickly rising here in sunny Southern California, so while the rest of the country may not be melting, it’s about that time to start thinking about how to incorporate spring staples into your summer wardrobe. Our latest Chic of the Week is a master of transition and even has a few tips to share on how to style a go-to summer outfit. Without further ado…
Meet style maven, Ashley!
Ashley’s outfit includes all of our most coveted summer staples: A tote large enough to carry to the beach, metallic Birkenstock-inspired sandals, a breezy embroidered top, and cutoff denim shorts… Not to mention her super trendy reflective sunnies and felt fedora hat! Since nights tend to cool down along the coast, having a denim jacket on hand isn’t a bad idea either. Here’s what Ashley had to say about her sunny look…
Living in SoCal, you always want to be ready for a quick trip to the beach, but also cute enough for a lunch date with the girls or drinks along the pier afterwards! To me that means lightweight layers that double as a cover up! I love this look because it’s so cute you might not know I have a bikini underneath and you’ll get lots of wear out of these affordable separates all summer long. It’s that effortless chic look you always want to create as the temps warm up.
Thanks for sharing your transitional style tips with us, Ashley!
