Style Guide: How to Snooze in Style

Style Guide: 15 Ways to Snooze in Style

Hi ladies, it’s Anna here from Fash Boulevard again. As usual with the holidays, social media was awash with adorable post-Christmas photos of friends and family lounging around in cute-as-can-be PJ’s. From trendy leggings to statement prints, each set was cuter than the last. Before I knew it, I had officially developed a serious sleepwear complex.

Now, I’ll be the first to admit, my nighttime selection mostly consists of old college t-shirts and comfy shorts. Not a big deal, right? I mean, comfort is key after all. But then I heard that the average person spends 25 years of their life sleeping and I suddenly realized it was time to step up my snoozing style.

Below are 15 comfy-cute pajamas and lounge pieces that will have you wishing it was jammie-time all week long…

Boxer Pajamas:

Snug As A Pug Set – Minkpink, Boxer Pajama – Victoria Secret, Better Late Than Ugly Set – ASOS

Boxer pajama sets are my absolute favorite. Not only will they keep you cool at night, but they’re totally functional for those super lazy days when you suddenly find yourself still in your pajamas at the dinner table. These short sets are also a great option for the warmer temperatures that are on the horizon.

Pajama Sets:

Jersey Pajamas – Wildfox, Floral Cotton Pajamas – Carole Hochman Designs, Chester Plaid Pajamas – Lauren Ralph Lauren

I’m one of those people who sleeps better when it’s cold. Even in the dead of winter, we keep the air on 65 (I know, we’re insane). These classic pajama sets are perfect for battling the cold weather and or, cold air-conditioning. On top of being functional, they’re adorable too. If you tend to get hot at night, opt for breathable cotton pajamas over silk or flannel sets.

Legging Sets:

#Yawn Longjohns – Minkpink, Floral Lounge Bottom – Abercrombie & Fitch, Hibernate lounge bottoms – Minkpink

Legging sets are the newest rage in sleepwear and rightfully so. I pretty much lived in this pair all winter. These comfortable fitted pajamas will have you sleeping until noon.

‘Sweet Dreams’ Sleep Shirt – Wildfox, Love Sleep Tee – Victoria Secret, Knit Chemise – PJ Salvage

There’s something so simple and sexy about a sleep tee. They are also a great choice when it comes to traveling since they take up virtually no space in your suitcase. Make sure to stock up on these comfy-cute sets before your spring and summer travels.

Bath Robes:

Fleece Bow Robe – Betsey Johnson, Windowpane Print Robe – Lauren Ralph Lauren, Sweetheart Robe – PJ Salvage

I tend to live in my robe so much so that I have to buy a new one every year. When I’m not wearing one for comfort, I wear them while getting ready in an effort to guard my clothes from getting covered in makeup and hairspray.

Sleepwear Tip: Once you’ve added some new pajamas to your sleep repertoire, don’t forget to check the care instructions. I stopped drying my pajamas years ago in an effort to keep them in peak condition after my favorite pair of sleep pants became my not-so-favorite pair of sleep capris. Learn from my mistakes, ladies.
