I know I’ve said it before, but our wedding day was the happiest day of my life. The entire weekend went off without a hitch (pun intended…). My wedding planner and bridesmaid Cassie helped make my dream wedding a reality, and I couldn’t have been happier with how the whole weekend went. I was the happiest I’ve ever been.

Now, I know that a lot of you ladies out there are either in the midst of planning a wedding or will be attending a wedding sometime soon. So to help you out, I wanted to share a bunch of my wedding weekend essentials. Take a look below for all the details…

For the gift bags…

Our guests stayed at hotels close to the wedding venue, and when they arrived they were each welcomed with a goodie bag filled with weekend essentials. The tote bags included a couple boxes of water, a bottle of wine, a few snacks, some sweet treats and a recovery kit for the morning after (more on that later…). We also put two apples in every gift bag, to go with the theme of the wedding. This gave our guests a healthy option to snack on!

For the ceremony…

When our guests arrived at the venue, they were greeted with champagne and an assortment of mocktails. We were married under a beautiful tent, and before our guests took their seats they each chose a vintage hankie, in case of any happy tears. I love to collect vintage hankies, and about a year ago I started to pick up extras at flea markets and on Etsy to give to our guests on our big day.

For the reception…

After the beautiful ceremony, it was time to celebrate with our guests. Because our venue was mostly on grass, we had a bunch of Solemates heel protectors for all of the ladies who wore high heels. These were such lifesavers! We were able to walk around on the grass and not have our shoes sink, which was great. We also had a ton of LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s flip flops out on the dance floor, so that our guests could take their heels off and dance the night away with us. And for those who got a little bit chilly after the sun set, we had a bunch of these pretty ruffle knit blankets from my LC Lauren Conrad line. They made for great party favors, too!

For the next day…

In each of our guests’ gift bags we included a recovery kit. After drinking and dancing all night, I wanted our friends and family to have some reinforcements for the morning after. The recovery kits had packets of emergen-C, Burt’s Bee’s Chapstick, Josie Maran Argon Oil, Sunscreen Chapstick, some pain relievers, band-aids, and a bottle of Never Hungover. Let’s just say everyone agreed that this came in pretty handy the next day…

Do you have any other wedding weekend essentials?

Share them in the comments!

XO Lauren
