Hey ladies, it’s Anna again from Fash Boulevard. Regardless of your relationship status, Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday to wear your heart on your sleeve…or blouse, or skirt, or flats. While I may not be the biggest Valentine’s Day advocate (a comfy night in is perfectly romantic enough for me!), I’m certainly a supporter of pink, red and the overall girliness that radiates throughout a killer Valentine’s day ensemble.
Below are a few outfit ideas to help guide you through the years most romantic holiday…
A Casual V-Day Work Ensemble
top – LOFT, pants – Abercrombie & Fitch, bag – Cambridge Satchel, flats – Mod Cloth
Avoiding anything that’s super bold is key for office attire. For this holiday, I love saving red for accents and accessories. Subtle nods to love and romance, like these adorable heart flats, will go a long way when it comes to creating a comfy v-day office ensemble. For dressier work attire, trade in your denim for slacks or a pencil skirt.
Dinner with your Love
dress – Chelsea and Violet, umbrella – Mod Cloth, clutch – Ruby and Jenna, heels – ShoeMint, love bracelet – Forever 21, xoxo bracelet – The Shine Project
Since my husband and I have been together since we were 16, Valentine’s Day has always represented love in its sweetest form. Which is why I always suggest going with a flirty white dress as opposed to something red and form fitting. Tiny accessories with a precious touch are all you need to take this white on white look to the next level.
Drinks with the Girls
top – French Connection, skirt – QMack, heels – LuLu*s, handbag – Ily Couture
Red, pink and white are quintessential colors for Valentine’s day. So an ensemble that encompasses all three is a triumphant achievement in my book. Subtle sequin detailing gives this ensemble a dressed up vibe, while the addition of a denim jacket and faux leather skirt rebels against V-Day stereotypes just enough to keep your look fresh.
dress – Alter’d State, blouse – LOFT, handbag – Ted Baker (similar here), heels – LuLu*s
Very few fabrics are quite as romantic as lace, thus making it a Valentine’s Day favorite. Playing with a mix of pinks is a great way to pay tribute to this holiday without incorporating overbearing shades of red. And adding a touch of tulle will leave you feeling girly and ready to be swept off your feet.
