Hey ladies, it’s Anna from Fash Boulevard again. Is anyone else feeling a little blue that summer is half a beat away from being a distant memory? What better way to welcome autumn than paying tribute to beach days with a wave of blue shades. Prada, Carven, and Missoni showcased a slew of blue hues on their Fall 2013 runways, and with Mykonos blue making its mark on Pantone’s list of fall colors, having a major case of the blues has never felt so good. While primary blue can look harsh against most skin tones, azure and celeste are refreshing shades that radiate a Greek island vibe. These colors are also super fun to experiment with, especially when it comes to combining the two together. When playing mix-master with your blue hues, follow the same rules for achieving a monochromatic look… Only this time, incorporate other colors into your ensemble like I did below.
Mixed Color Maxi Dress
Finding a print that showcases a watercolor of shades is the easiest way to try out this trend. Add your own flair by stacking on accessories that reflect the most prominent hues in your outfit.
maxi dress – Gypsy 05
High Impact with Light & Dark
Pulling from the opposite ends of the shade spectrum is almost always a safe bet. When it comes to incorporating other colors, remember that blue and green are adjacent to each other on the color wheel, making this color combo harmonious.

handbag – Ily Couture
Take Advantage of a Print
If you don’t feel confident in your color mixing abilities, try finding a single piece that already incorporates a variety of colors. Then, mirror those shades in other parts of the outfit.
