Crafty Creations: DIY Headband

I’ve had a lifelong love affair with headbands. Always have and always will. I’m pretty sure I went through a period where I wore one every day of the week (gym class included). While that might have been excessive, I don’t think a girl can have enough of these accessories in her stash. Throw one on when you’re running late for an instantly pulled-together look or add one to a simple outfit for a little extra flair. Regardless of when you wear them, headbands are always an on-trend item in my book. Since headband options are limited, I took to making my own. It’s a simple way to create customized hair-flair that’s specific to your taste and wardrobe. Without further ado, I’m showing you how to make your own headband in three minutes or less in today’s Crafty Creations video. Check it out:

To recap, here’s what you will need:

  • scissors
  • needle & thread
  • your choice of trim or ribbon
  • elastic

Are you going to give this DIY a try? If you do end up giving it a go, be sure to upload a photo of your headband to your profile page and leave the photo link below. I’ll feature my favorite submissions in a Member Spotlight post!

Happy crafting ladies!

XO Lauren

I’m a headband FANATIC!! Thank you so much for this, Lauren. I have a whole dresser drawer filled with headbands & scarves I use as headbands. You’re a girl after my own heart ;0) I even made a headband out of some old capri pants, where I liked the print as accessories, but not necessarily as pants. Love your DIY Crafty Creations! I’m so glad you started that! Who knew the girl from The Hills was a mini Martha Stewart at heart?
