Eco Chic: Paper or Plastic?

As many of you may know, earlier this year I pledged to go green and have invited all of you to embrace an eco-chic lifestyle along with me… so I was absolutely thrilled to hear about the new plastic bag ban that just went through in LA. Now more than ever, we all need to start thinking about investing in reusable products, and this plastic bag ban is a huge step in the right direction.

Ditching plastic bags is a great way to go green… but it doesn’t end there! To check out more ways to reduce your impact, just click here.

I’m so glad that I’ve partnered with BlueAvocado to create reusable lifestyle products, like shopping bags and cosmetic accessories, so that you won’t even miss using those pesky plastic bags! My collection with BlueAvocado comes out this Summer, so make sure to sign up for updates so that you’re the first to know when the line is available.

And for those of you who have some plastic bags lying around the house, I found some cute and creative ways to reuse them so that they don’t ever have to end up in a landfill. You can take your plastic bag stash and make a decorative wreath, make yourself an adorable basket, or even fill the bottom of a too-deep planting pot (pictured above).

What do you think about the latest plastic bag ban?
