The Kohl’s Blogger Contest is well under way and I couldn’t be happier with the lovely ladies still in the running. A couple weeks ago we had six blogettes, and now we have narrowed it down to four (listed below, in no particular order):
Jeanette Scott of J’s Everyday Fashion
Christina DeFilippo of Oh So Glam
Anna Hodge of Fash Boulevard
Katie Manwaring of Katie’s Bliss
These four remaining bloggers will compete in a series of Kohl’s Style Challenges using pieces from my LC Lauren Conrad collection. Each week, we will have to cut another blogette until we have crowned a winner! The winner will not only get to join Team LaurenConrad.com as a Guest Blogger for 3 months, she will also get an all expenses paid trip to NYC to visit the Kohl’s Design Center and more! Click here for all the details.
For the first Kohl’s Style Challenge we asked the final four to tell us which piece from the LC Lauren Conrad collection best represents their personal style and aesthetic. Below are their answers…
Jeanette Scott says…
I found my it-shoe for spring! The Platform Dress Sandals will not be leaving my feet. I’m always rocking cognac shoes, and this on-trend version with the chunky platform and straw detail are the perfect update for my wardrobe! I will be wearing these shoes absolutely everywhere! The platform makes them super-comfy, and the color goes with everything in my closet. I will pair them with white skinny jeans and a striped shirt for errands, a tribal or floral dress for a night out, and a navy skirt and collared shirt for work!
Christina DeFilippo says…
The White Pencil Jeans are my favorite spring piece from the LC Lauren Conrad collection. The key to rocking white jeans is the fit, and these are perfect! Since white is basically a blank canvas, the options for pairing are really endless. You can pair these with any of the season’s hottest trends from brights to neutrals to chambray. For a dinner date, I would pair them with a chambray button up and a great pair of statement heels and bright jewelry!
Anna Hodge says…
The gorgeous Hi-Low Chiffon Maxi Skirt has my name written all over it. The feminine color and flowing nature perfectly fits my East Coast meets Cali style, which always requires a pop of color! My favorite part would have to be the built-in style with the contrasting hem lines, which makes this the ideal skirt for showcasing a fabulous pair of Spring heels. An outdoor lunch with girlfriends would be the perfect setting to showcase this maxi’s super girly style and fabulous Spring color, which offers endless styling options. For this particular event, I’d belt the skirt and pair it with a blush colored blouse for a fun play on a monochromatic color palette and for some added structure, I’d layer on a white blazer. When it came to those cooler Spring days, I’d toss on a slouchy taupe knit sweater and an eclectic mix of colorful necklaces to create a comfy chic ensemble.
The piece that most represents my personal style and aesthetic would have to be the Platform Dress Sandals. A pair of classic, brown leather heeled sandals should be a staple in any girl’s wardrobe. They’re so versatile and I could see myself wearing them for both casual and dressy looks. I’d wear these heels to an evening cocktail party and pair them with a flirty summer dress, cinched at the waist with a belt!Based on their answers, who do you want to see move forward?
