Hello all! This is my first post, I am a longtime Lauren Conrad fan and am hoping that some other lovely ladies on this site can give me some fashion advice!

I am getting married and searching for the perfect shoes, but having the most awful luck! I have a pretty serious back problem so I can only wear flats. So far the "wedding-y" flats I have found have been pretty boring, or too frumpy looking for my personal taste! If it helps, my dress is floor-length, A-line, ivory with a bit of gold/pearls/sparkle floral embroidery.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated---even though most people won't see the shoes I would still love to have some adorable ones!

Hey Jessica! I think flats could be really lovely! My best friend just got married and wore a sparkly pair of J.Crew flats since she is quite tall and looks amazing (plus she never complained about her feet hurting--major plus!). If you're wedding is going to be during a warmer season such as Spring or Summer, I would suggest a pair or pretty flat sandals. BHLDN has some really pretty ones! http://www.bhldn.com/shop-the-bride-bridal-shoes Hope that helps! Xx Alex

I say yes! When I got married, I wore a cute pair of flats. They were almost like ballerina slippers! They were satin and tied around my ankles, but have hard soles. So much more comfortable than wearing heels, and took the stress of tripping down the isle away! Hope this helps :) (BTW: I bought the shoes at a bridal store!)

Absolutely! Especially if your dress is floor-length. A common trend now is to have a bright colored shoe that peeps out from under your floor length gown. Bright red patent leather ballet flats could be a fun, comfy way to pull that off, depending on your dress.

I think it's great! What matters is for you to comfortable on YOUR wedding day. Many brides now wear flats whether their wedding dress is short or long.

Definitely! I've seen so many weddings with the bride and the bridesmaids wearing really gorgeous flats! I've even seen thongs (flip flops) at weddings!!
I'm so darn short so for my wedding I'll be wearing heels! :)

For sure! My sister wore pretty white sparkly flats for her wedding (just because with heels she would be taller than her husband, LOL)... Like Ivy said, it is YOUR wedding and YOUR day... so of course you should be comfortable while looking fabulous! We found a lot of cute ones where they sell wedding dresses, and never found anything as cute in regular shoe stores! Good luck, and congratulations, by the way! :)

I would wear flats because after a while your feet might hurt

I've seen a lot of brides and bridesmaids wearing Toms or Bobs in their ceremonies. You could get them in one of your accent colors, or they also have glitter ones. It's a good way to be comfortable, and to give something back on your wedding day since Bobs and Toms both give away a pair a shoes for every purchase.

Yes definitely after all weddings are quite long and high heels ( as good as they look ) aren't the best for feet or so science says, I have a pair of flats that are nearly those ones that sort of curl up with the elastic but I know what your thinking they will cut off your circulation but the trick is to get the ones with a tab a the back where the elastic stops. I feel it would be totally boring to just wear a PLAIN pair of flats so look for ones that maybe have a cute buckle or sparkles or some sort of appropriate design for the occasion with obviously something on them you will want to wear again.
Sorry I babble on, just my suggestion :)
