I have really thick hair too! best way I control my hair is putting it up in a high ponytail, and giving my bangs (which also hang down to about my chin on the left part!) a quick curling, so it doesnt look out of control if its not in a ponytail!

I usually french braid my hair, but somedays I don't have the time. I have naturally wavy hair, I used to straighten it all the time but I realized how much I was damaging it! So I got some mousse and after I wash my hair, I run the mousse through my hair and voila! It gives a natural look that doesn't look like you tried too hard.

I think you look good now, why do you want to change your hair style? I think natural things is the most beautiful things.

Well i would suggest if you are on a time crunch in the morning, wash your hair the night before, then braid it all over(tight, lose simple braids) then in the morning take them out, put a little hairspray on and a cute headband.

I had long hair up till last spring (it's still obnoxiously thick, but not overwhelming, now), but one of my favorite styles to wear to school was from this tutorial: http://thebeautydepartment.com/2011/09/short-hair-chignon/ I know it says short hair, but you just have to twist your hair in right, and it will work. I had my hair to my mid-back when straight when I was using this the most, and it worked wonderfully. I think my favorite part about it is that you can do it really super quickly, or take longer, just depending, and it'll look just as good. I also never felt the need to use styling cream, but how "to-the letter" you follow it is up to you. Just play around with it and see if it works for you!

When in doubt I always go for the low "messy" bun with a cute hand-band, and if you don't wash your hair everyday, (like I do) it's a great second day wear!
