Okay, hello everyone! :)
This is my first ever post and I really need help. You see, I have thick, long, curly, black hair which I find really hard to style for school. Since I don't want to kill it by using a straightener or hair dryer every time I wash my hair (which is about every two days). I want to try some quick and easy hairstyles for school that might actually look nice on me. P.S. preferably not buns.
Thanks :)

What about a high ponytail with a ribbon tied around the elastic.

That sounds pretty cool. I'll get a ribbon to match my uniform and it will look awesome with curly or straight hair! Thanks for the help. Though I have one quick question: I have a middle parting (and sometimes use a side one) which has about chin-length hair, should I leave it out or pin it up?

I also have thick, curly hair and when I don't have time to striaghten it, it can be a mes. I usually pull everything back into a top knot/ballerina bun, but if you're sick of them I also like pulling mine back into a ponytail braid. Also, braiding your bangs around your crown and pulling it into a ponytail helps my keep my frizz down.

I hope that helps.

People don't understand how difficult it is to style this kind of hair. I once had a boss tell me I had too many flyaways and needed to "get my hair under control." :c She was exceptionally awful though.

how about a fish tale ? that would look cute, especially if you have long hair. also, when i use to have long hair i would braid my hair overnight and in the morning take it off and i would have wavy hair... you should try it :)

A fish tail, French braid down the back, or a side twist pony are all great quick tricks. :) even taking a braid around the top of your head and a bun in the back is easy and adorable (:

To blythe drwg: That is exactly how I feel! It is just so hard to keep under control especially with all these flyaways bothering me. Aw, that sounds awful. If her hair was like yours, I think that she would better understand how it feels.
To rosy: Yes, I love doing fish tail plaits to the side because it is pretty easy to do. Oh, I think that I will try that idea, it sounds great! Thank you for the help :D
To gabrielle hughes: Wow, all those ideas sound pretty cool and easy. I think that I will look up what a side twist pony looks like but otherwise, I will try all of them as soon as possible! Thank you for telling me about these easy ideas :D

Soft Bun.... Also known as a SOCK bun.... Super easy, and DIY if you don't want to go out and buy a Soft Bun. This look is clean, easy, and a quick fix when running out the door. You can also do a low side pony, split in half and tied like a knot. Hold in place with a clear elastic, and spray :)
