I'm trying to grow out my hair since I cut it to a pixie in January, but I don't want flyaways. And I don't just mean spay a toothbrush in hairspray and brush down flyaways; I want some way to keep my hair from breaking or falling out and starting to grow again in the middle of my hair. I don't really style my hair at all(as in I don't straighten it, blow dry it, do headstands on it, curl it, or brush it harshly) so it leads me back to hair falling out and growing back again. I'm not saying that I want my hair to stop falling out completely, I just don't understand why it grows back in a tiny tight curl that looks really thick compared to other hair, when I have wavy/straight hair.

If you want it grow it out past the awkward length fast, ditch any heat styling products (straightners etc) and just leave it natural. That along with regular trims to stop your hair splitting again will help so much trust me!! I had a pixie cut, left it alone from heat damage for a few months and it grew out so fast. Worst thing you can do is start over styling it to stop fly aways, your just gonna make your hair split more and dry it out. I also use a tangle teezer brush (I'm from the UK but you might have something similar if your in the states) a de tangler spray and leave in conditioner to comb through it when it's wet to stop it breaking. Heat protection spray is a must if you really wanna style it. And massive thumbs up for the argon oil ^ :) X

To make it grow you could take a pill every day. There are several to choose from, but the most popular and one I use is called Biotin. I have been taking it for about 3 months now and have noticed a huge change! I also would avoid heat to lead it to grow even faster along with a trim every 6-8 weeks. Everyone looses about 60 strands of hair a day, but if you're loosing more than that I would say to try showering every other day instead of everyday if that's what you do. A cheap, yet odd, way to get rid of those flyaways is to use a dryer sheet and rub it on your hair when your hair is dry. it works wonders! Just section your hair in about 3 groups and grab those chuncks of hair and rub the sheet on them starting from top to bottom. This method helps with flyways and friz.
