My friend is having a christmas dinner this Saturday and a couple weeks ago I bought a gorgeous ballerina dress. The top of it is black and the back of it swoops down very low. Above the hips is where the black "leotard" stops and theres a pink "tutu" that goes down to above the knee. What kind of shoes should I wear and how should I style my hair? (My hair is very long and blonde).

Thank you for the help!

I would probably straighten my hair and pull it all back in a high ponytail, and take a small piece of hair, wrap it around the hair tie and pin it under the ponytail, example http://bit.ly/UPN9MW .And wear a simple black platform heel, close examples http://bit.ly/10KIUGJ and http://bit.ly/UXOlf2 .Another thing to consider is if you're quiet short then maybe think about wearing a matte platform heel the same colour as your skin, this will lengthen the leg and balance out the tutu, but if you think it just doesn't suit the pink and black combo then go for the black shoe. Hope this helps.

I completely agree with zarasbones1! A black pump or nude platform heel would be perfect for this look! Also, a sleek looking pony tail would be nice. You could go all out with the ballerina look and do a chic bun (as seen on Anna's fashion blog today: http://fashboulevard.blogspot.com/2012/11/kiss-of-red.html or even curl your hair and then piece together a chic bun. Regardless, I think in this outfit you want to make the tutu the focus, not your shoes or your hair. Simplicity will work best!

If you want to edge it up... I could see pairing it with booties (seen here: http://hypeed.com/Lipsy-Tutu-tb2901-302 ).
