HELP - Cannot add profile picture

Every time I try to add a profile pic it says that it is "invalid" no matter where I get the picture from. Whether I get it from my iPhone pictures that I've uploaded onto my computer or pictures that I've uploaded from my camera. Help, please?

There's a file size limitation. I think it's 2 Mb. So make sure your picture is small enough.

I'm having the same problem and I keep making it super, super small haha, I just can't seem to get it?
