Hi everybody!
My name is Chelsea! I have recently been inspired by the campaign "This is what a Feminist Looks Like"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YA13GNT8Mc
Lauren Conrad also inspires me and I've been thinking about beauty and the empowerment of women.. maybe making my own campaign about feminist empowerment through beauty! It's sad to see young girls looking at this beauty tips as self improvement and not self empowerment...
Any feminist on this site want to join the campaign??? "Empowerment with Beauty" "The Beauty of Empowerment" ..title still in the work lol :)

I totally agree with you! Beauty it's so important for girls nowadays and it would be fantastic if this could help them to empower themselves.
Also I think that very young girls could understand the importance of women's power trough beauty... that I think it's very relevant for them.
What are you thinking about this campaign?
My name is Bella :)

Sorry for my english, I live in Italy right now, Lauren Conrad rocks also here!

I would love to join the campaign. I've been a self-proclaimed feminist since the age of 11. It's sad how the negative connotations the word feminism has decrease women empowerment especially with young girls. I recently found this amazing Barbie doll as a presidential candidate. http://instagram.com/p/SY97fuOnb2/ I love it! The phrase on the box says "stands on her own" which it can be taken literally and figuratively.

If you 'like' Barbie on Facebook, you may not be so inspired by her campaign. I think she was a member of the Glam party, and held 'polls' to vote for favorite outfits and date activities.

I'm a little late on responding to this, but would love to connect with you guys about these topics! I've recently become very passionate about feminism. Chelsea if you've moved forward with this campaign at all please let me know how it's going!

Also, I've got a couple posts (and more to come!) about my thoughts around feminism on my blog if any of you are interested in checking them out- http://sarahlibros.blogspot.co.uk
