Cupid's Corner: For All My Single Ladies
Just because our days of exchanging Valentine's Day cards at school are over doesn't mean we can't give our friends a little something on V-Day. Today I am going to show you how to make an adorable little DIY gift to give to your friends for Valentine's Day. It's called a Lucky in Love Jar!
Makes one Lucky in Love Jar
Here's what you will need...
- 1 shiny, lucky penny
- red or pink ribbon
- mason jar
- hot glue gun
- gift tag
- 1 bag of Sweethearts (or your other favorite candy)
Instructions
- Using the hot glue gun, glue your lucky penny smack dab in the middle of the tag (heads up, of course).
- Next, take a letter stamp set or a Sharpie and write the message "Here's to getting lucky in love" onto the gift tag around the penny.
- Use the ribbon to tie the tag onto a mason jar and fill it with Sweethearts or your other favorite candy.

I totally did this, but I didn't use the jar I just made the card, decorated it with foam hearts and put it with a bag of candy, oh and on the back of the card I put a picture of a my friends celebrity crushes :) They absolutely loved it!

I loved this idea...i thought it was so cute...but since im in a relationship i made one for my fiance...i put his favourite sweets in it (jelly snakes) and then made the tag look like a postcard.

Aww that's SUCH a fun idea! Last year I sent one of my bestfriends a Valentine's card in the mail that I made. I had a Sex & the City qoute on the outside and a message in the inside...and she LOVED it. It meant so much more to her than I thought! :)

Hey Lauren! I loved this idea it was perfect for my sister who just broke up with her lame boyfriend a couple months ago! She lives in michigan and I am in Ohio so it was the perfect thing to send!
I changed it a bit by putting in Tootsie Rolls with valentines sayings on them since she hates candy hearts!
I bought the jar at Hobby Lobby so it had a sticker that wouldnt come off on the lid so I added a red and black boarder around the tag and cover the lid with the same paper.
Also sent here a decorate bow ($1 at Deals) and made these cute m and m candy pretzels that are super fast and easy!
Take mini pretzels place on cooking tray. Set oven to 200 degrees. Put a "Hugs" Hersheys Kiss (chocolate with cream stripes) on each mini pretzel and let melt in over for 2-3 minutes. Take out and put 2 or 3 Valentine Colored M and Ms on them then place in fridge for 5-10 minutes to kool! There super cute and delicous! Wish i could post pictures but it wont let =(

I saw a cute craft on Pinterest where you fill a bag with nuts and write "I'm totally nuts for you" It was pretty cute and might be a good one for the little kiddies who get too much sugar on vday...
