This story is from our partner, PopSugar! Twice a month we'll share PopSugar's best fashion tips and shopping guides. Today's post highlights the top 10 trends from Paris Fashion Week:

It's time to break down the biggest trends from the Paris Fashion Week runways. Blue hues remained a front-runner with designers like Valentino, Chloé, and Carven showing us their most tailored ladylike renditions. Plaid patterns ranged from punk to polished, while oversize coats were offered up in every variety thanks to Miu Miu, Balmain, and Dries Van Noten. Additionally, designers like Alexander McQueen and Chanel showcased some exciting head adornments and new neck gear to look forward to in the future. There's more where that came from; click on to see our top 10 trends from Paris Fashion Week right now.
Pretty Pastels

Soft, candy-colored pastels haven't lost their allure — or luster — for Fall 2013. Sent down the Paris runways via luxe wrap coats, sexy underthings, and sweetly hued knitwear, these powdery pastels provide an easy way to keep things light, even when the cold Winter climate indicates otherwise.

Head Gear

From textured baseball caps to bejeweled caged masks to furry pastel-hued helmet hats, serious head gear came into play at the Paris shows. While the slouchy beanie had its moment on the New York runways, the final leg of Fashion Month presented us with a much more over-the-top (keyword: top) range of hats to choose from for Fall 2013.

Structural Bags

Small or large, handheld or draped from the shoulder, what do these sleek Fall '13 bags — straight off the Paris runways — have in common? Each one is angular, defined, and totally sophisticated. We spotted classic doctor-bag shapes, traditional slim-cut portfolio silhouettes, and boxier totes, but aside from their more obvious differences, these bags proved polished and structured.

The Lug Sole

If we look strictly at shoe trends at Paris Fashion Week, one thing's for sure: you won't have a hard time looking chic and walking in the snow. Just look to the slick, if not ultrafunctional, lug-sole silhouettes to take the runways at Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, and Rochas — all matter of loafers, pumps, and boots were armed with deeply ridged rubber soles, making this highlight shoe one that can tread in inclement conditions.

Feeling Blue

Cobalt, sky blue, navy — no matter which way you spin it, designers were clearly feeling blue for Fall '13.

New Neckwear

The neck is clearly a focal point for Fall '13, with designers like Giambattista Valli, Carven, and Chanel showing a range of intricate necklaces, statement collars, and exaggerated turtlenecks.

Minis to the Max

From Isabel Marant's cool-girl iterations to Saint Laurent's nostalgia-inspired collection and Giambattista Valli's more feminine iterations, hemlines were raised across the board on dresses and skirts, making the mini the length to have for Fall '13.

Bigger is Better

Oversize proportions gave coats a bold look, even in the soft pastels and muted neutrals we saw at Carven and Stella McCartney, respectively. The look is a borrowed-from-the-boys spin with extralong sleeves and ample room for layering. In any iteration, it's clear bigger is better when it comes to our Fall '13 coats.

All About the Texture

With begs-to-be-touched details, like a feathered skirt at Dries Van Noten, the furry toppers at Chloé, or the distressing, tweed and floral appliqué at Chanel, the Fall '13 runways gave way to ample embellishment and all kinds of textural intrigue. For everyone from the glamour girl at Balmain to the cool girl at Givenchy, there's a textured look to suit every style personality.
