Between the fast approaching holidays and the cooler weather, it's no secret that staying in shape during the fall and winter seasons can be a challenge. Just because it's cold out doesn't mean you can't work on your fitness. Luckily there are plenty of ways to work it out in the comfort of your own home. All you need is a little bit of space (enough to do some pushups and jumping jacks) and a little bit of time.
To get you going, I asked my trainer, Jarett Del Bene, to map out my typical 30-minute workout. And to keep you motivated and moving, my bestie Jilly made a great 30-minute workout mix for you to listen to while you sweat it out! Check out the workout below, turn up the volume on Jilly's mix, and get excited to keep your abs toned throughout the holiday season...

Even if you follow my tips on surviving the holidays without gaining weight, keeping your physique toned and flab-free is no easy feat. Be sure to squeeze this workout into your schedule three times a week and follow a healthy, balanced diet to keep your waistline in check.

I just did this. It was awesome!!! I worked up quite a sweat does anybody know about how many calories this burns?!? Thanks for the post LC!

I'm going to give this a go. It's autumn now, need to change my lifestyle so it includes working out -
I did a plank for one minute (okay, I cheated; 30 seconds, 5 sec break, 15 sec, 5 second break, 15 second), knee pushups (which I couldn't do properly because my arms aren't strong enough YET), over 60 jumping jacks, and, like, 20 situps (5 sec break in between). As you can see, I am VERY out of shape -- I'm not chunky, but I'm not skinny, either. I hope to see progress in a month. -
Wow I don't think I've ever been so motivated. Can wait to start. I just need to learn what burpees and alternative front lunges are. Can't wait! Lol. -
I do the exact same workout- I follow the Biggest Loser videos with Jillian and Bob- I am always sore after!! -
I tried this out and it really works! I'm a runner so this was a change of pace and I woke up sore the next morning. Perfect quick workout to get bikini ready. -

When it's not an option to workout outdoors my favorite exercise to do inside is the les mills pump deluxe. The LAST thing you want to do in the winter is get out of your sweats, and into your freezing cold car just to go all the way to the gym. At least with a workout DVD you never have to leave your house or worry about looking presentable lol. So far it's been doing a really awesome job of keeping me motivated and gives me an intense workout every time.
