These hot days of summer might be coming to an end, but I recently read about a pretty cool beauty tip that I wanted to share with you... The idea is to give yourself an "ice cube facial massage."
It may not sound that particularly pleasant, but running an ice cube over your face has a lot of benefits for your skin. Besides giving your face a dewy, glowing look, the frosty cubes will help to smooth your complexion by combatting fat cells, ease wrinkles, fight acne, and promote blood circulation that will help heal blemishes.
By simply massaging your face with ice cubes for a minute or two before bed, you will essentially be giving yourself a mini facial. (Just be sure to wrap the cubes in a paper towel, or a baggie as suggested by member Tiffani Stuart, because applying them directly to your skin can cause delicate blood vessels to break.) For an added "ahh" to this spa-inspired treatment, try freezing your cubes with watermelon, lemon, or rose. Getting iced never sounded so good...
Are you going to give this cool trick a try?
If you have an out of the ordinary beauty trick that you love, share it in the comments below. I'll feature my favorite idea in an upcoming blog post!

I have a question pertaining to hair care... Why does my hair all of a sudden have fly always from the roots? They just stand up on top of my head or to the side and it is very annoying! I have not done anything else to my hair. I have been using Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship shampoo (fusion of red raspberries and Brazilian silk) and nourishing coconut milk conditioner by Organix for some time now. But I am a part time model and I don't know if I have damaged hair or what... What products can I find at drugstores that will help me with this problem?? Thanks! -
I've red blemishes on my face due to a slight acne problem and I tried this tip last night. Of course my acne is not completely cleared up but the redness is all gone! I will definitely keep doing this every night before going to bed!! -
I tried this for the first time last night, and I have acne regularly unfortunately. I used my normal face wash and I used the Get Iced tip from Lauren's page and over night my acne was almost completely cleared up! I was shocked! Thank you so much for the trick!!

This remedy sounds like a great idea! Along with my favorite beauty tip! Teeth are a huge thing! When you smile at somebody, or talk to someone you are exposing your teeth! So white not make them sparkle? Cheap, and painless? Sounds great! Use your regular tooth paste, and tooth brush. Just add peroxide, and your teeth will be so much whiter in just one brushing! My dentist told me that brushing with peroxide also helps prevent cavities! It's a win win! :)

Does anyone know of any anti-aging creams that aren't so oily? I've tried a bunch of things especially in the summer because I'm a beach bunny. I hate to admit it, but I'm a sun worshipper. I know it's so unhealthy but the beach and sun make me the happiest so I'm not going to avoid it. However, I try my best to keep my skin as healthy as possible by lathering on sun repair treatments and anti-aging creams. They all make me breakout. Any suggestions?!

I do this all the time right after a baking soda mask, I get a tablespoon or so of baking soda and mix it with water to make a thick paste coat your face and neck with it and let it dry then wash it off and ice it. Totally calming and refreshing!

For a cheap easy scrub use baking soda. Alone or mixed with your usual face cleanser it smooths and polishes your skin and it's completely fragrance free. I use it all the time! -
