So you have the perfect gift but you’re not sure how to wrap it—err, perfectly…this is where I come in. For most of us, the days of having our mothers wrap all of our holiday gifts are long gone. And while throwing something in a bag with some tissue paper is quick and easy, there’s something to be said about spending a little extra time to wrap your gifts the old-fashioned way. Without further ado, here’s my quick and easy guide to wrapping like a pro:

And there you have it…
As for materials, I typically like to keep it simple. I usually use butcher paper and baker's twine along with some pom poms or tinsel, and I finish it off with a handmade gift tag. I also love to use newspaper (pages with words only though) with brightly colored ribbon (Midori has a great selection). That said, regardless of the materials you decide to use, what really counts is the fact that you were thoughtful enough to take the time to wrap the present yourself.
Do you have any tricks for wrapping a perfect present? What materials do you like to use?
If you have some creative wrapping ideas, be sure to upload photos to your profile page and leave the image links below. I want to see your work!
Happy wrapping!
XO Lauren

when I was young, I used to giftwrap with empty cereal boxes and making them into gift bags with old necklaces as handlers. My family used to love my wraps :) -

I did MANY mini gift boxes and hung them up on my tree as a garland. See them here: http://laurenconrad.com/user/photo/3321215
