Photo Diary: My Pre-Holiday Vacation
I just got back from a family vacation in the Bahamas and I thought I'd share some photos with you guys. It was nice to get away. I was a little stressed on the trip because the Internet wasn't always that reliable and I was emailing chapters of my Beauty book back and forth with my editor (sorry Farrin), but I managed to balance work and play. We spent most of our days relaxing. It was just what I needed before all the holiday craziness set in...

I think it's sad to assume that just because people have celebrity status, that they aren't benefitting the community. For me, I work at a non-profit, so I completely understand what it means to have a heart to give back. My passion is for the Troops, overseas. I run a program that sends packages, monthly [not just during the holidays], so I totally get it. But to reprimand Lauren for going on an a vacation is wrong. It's pretty arrogant & judgmental to make comments about what others do w/their time & money, just b/c they're celebrities. Who knows what she's done w/her money? Unless you're counting her money, then you have no right to say how she spends it.

Here in Argentina it's summer and we are preparing for the christmas holidays and new year with so much heat!. Then for de-stressing I will go on vacation with some friends to the beach!

I've already started de-stressing for the holidays! Grad school is done for the semester, I had a great sushi dinner with some of my best friends last night, and I'm looking forward to upcoming holiday parties and get-togethers :)

I do think Lauren does her share of helping others. I think they have the right to go on vacation too. Just because youre famous dosen't mean that you can't relax. Then again you can always do more, but that goes for all of us. Not only famous people. Nobody is perfect.
If you don't take care of youreself, who will? And then if you break down you can't give anybody any help. right?
