Backstage Beauty: Our Favorite Fashion Week Looks
Hi everyone, it’s Alex reporting to you from a very snowy (and cold!) New York City. Although the sky seems to be falling, Fall 2013 Fashion Week is off to a great start and we’ve got the photos to prove it… From loaded lashes to twisted ponytails, there has been no shortage of creative beauty ideas and I am thrilled to share these exclusive backstage beauty photos with you (taken by yours truly)…
Wildfox: Flirty low ponytails with center parts created a soft, romantic look
Wildfox: Chic chapeaus were on almost every runway this season
Insider Tip: For a flawlessly natural lip, swipe on some clear gloss with minimal shine for an ethereal finish to enchance your natural lip color.
BCBG: Gypset tresses were styled with surf spray from Bumble & Bumble
BCBG: The makeup was all about luminized skin and perfectly smudged eyes
Insider Tip: Makeup artists at BCBG lined the inner eye with nude eyeliner to brighten the complexion and open the eye. This is one of the industry's best kept beauty secrets.
BCBG: Sephora Pro makeup artists applied two coats of DiorShow mascara
Insider Tip: To create extra full lashes, wiggle the mascara wand at the base of the lashes before combing out the rest of the lash.
Kate Spade: Bold black cat-eye liner and Big Apple red lips were all the rage

Insider Tip: To keep your lipstick in place, apply a light dusting of translucent powder to your pout before swiping on the lipstick.

Insider Tip: For perfectly winged liner, use a small piece of tape at the corners of your eyes as a guide to create a defined and straight line.
Rebecca Minkoff: Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner by Stila in Cobalt Blue with apricot lips created a perfectly balanced and strong look

Insider Tip: For perfectly flat-ironed hair, straighten in sections, working up the head to the temples.
Which look is your favorite?
Personally, I think it’s hard to pick a favorite—they are all lovely and unique in their own way. Although I must say that a bold lip and a simple cat-eye seems to get me every time… Loved Kate Spade. All in all, there have been plenty of simple beauty looks with interesting twists and I cannot wait to see what these next few days have in store.
