How to Pull Off Winter White Like a Pro

We're no longer living by the no-white-after-Labor-Day rules – save for being a guest at your best friend's wedding, there really are no rules when it comes to wearing your white pieces. That said, there can be a little trepidation around wearing the color during Winter – but we're out to change all of that. With these five looks we're embracing the hue on our denim, skirts, and dresses to refresh our everyday style. From a creamy boho maxi to a pair of ultra-chic white skinnies, click through to see and shop all the ways we're wearing white right now.
Contrast your basics..
A creamy mohair sweater has a quintessentially Winter feel. Contrast the cozy topper with slick leather pants and studded loafers, then add in a pair of pretty earrings for an everyday outfit with a little pizazz.
Theory Jaidyn Sweater ($168, originally $335), Sara Berman Skinny Leather Pants ($280), Thierry Lasry Hooky D-Frame Marbled Acetate Sunglasses ($375), Han Cholo Shadow Series Rose Plated Brass Medium Stud Earrings ($35), Asos Croc Embossed Leather Porfolio Clutch ($108), Steve Madden Melter Flats ($140)
Go boho...
Craft a bohemian Winter look by pairing your furry vest with a long white maxi. Layer up with your favorite popover and style it out with a buttery bucket bag and easy ankle boots.
Etoile Isabel Marant Dory Cotton-Jersey Sweater ($320), Rachel Zoe Vanessa Silk Maxi Skirt ($605), J.Crew Tillary Bucket Bag ($198), N.Y.L.A. Women's Patrice Bootie ($90), Frolick Jewelry State Necklace ($56), Halston Heritage Faux Fur Vest ($150, originally $375)

Make a statement...
Give white denim cool-girl edge by pairing your seasonal pullover and jeans with biker boots and a statement satchel – don't forget your shades.
A.P.C. Crewneck Pocket Sweater ($275), Madewell Skinny Skinny White Wash Jeans ($99), Elizabeth and James Park Sunglasses ($155), DKNY Small Round Bracelet Watch ($135), Zara Tri-Combined City Bag ($90), Zara Flat Biker Boot ($159)
Add some edge...
Make your LWD Winter appropriate with a leather jacket and booties that speak to the season with luxe shearling lining.
Cacharel Sleeveless Dress With Pin Tuck Detail ($359), Topshop Traditional Biker Jacket ($300), J.Jill Solid Micro Tights ($13), By Malene Birger Gilsan Ankle Boots ($684), Nars Diamond Life Nail Polish ($28), Alexander Wang Marion Bag ($650)
Go white on white...
Don't be afraid to embrace white on white. A creamy sweater feels extra fresh against skinny white bottoms, standout jewels, and a pair of edgy ankle boots.

Zara Snakeskin Shopper ($50), 3.1 Phillip Lim Sweatshirt With Cut Off Sleeves ($350), Rag & Bone Skinny Jeans ($176), See by Chloé Cutout Leather Ankle Boots ($365), Dannijo Ines Necklace ($395)
Which look is your favorite?

I have yet to try winter white, and in tennessee out winter comes in waves. But there's a white blazer at American Eagle that I'm dying to have.

I love the "Contrast your Basics" look - contrasting different fabrics looks and styles looks so amazing and is so in right now! I also really liked the "Make A Statemet" look, I'm dying for a pair of Biker boots! Again, such an awesome contrast between these rough boots, and the feminine white pants and sweater.

Lauren, what about white lace? I have a white lace skirt that I have been dying to wear but I don't know what to wear with it!
-
I like the "Make a Statement" & " mix your basics" looks, as well... I think they are the ones I'd most likely put together on my own.

I wish I would've been able to see all the outfits put together on models. Then, maybe the pieces would make sense to me. I'm still not understanding how the Boho would look, even though I love the pieces. I think my favorite is the "white on White"--- Even thought it's more like pink & grey on white... I think there were some blips in this article... I love this kind of cold shoulder look and the purse pulls the entire thing together. Love this look!
