I love at-home beauty remedies that can be whipped up using only a few readily accessible ingredients. Today I am going to share one of my favorites with you: My Greek Yogurt Mask. It’s very simple and only consists of two ingredients—Greek yogurt and a probiotic capsule (although the probiotic can be optional as the yogurt alone is still very effective). Greek yogurt contains lactose enzymes, which dissolve dirt and nourish your skin. Essentially, it works like a cleanser while the probiotic invigorates your skin leaving it with a lovely glow. This combination also helps to reduce redness and clam breakouts. Not bad, right?
What You Need:
1. cotton balls
2. probiotic capsule
3. cold, plain Greek yogurt![]()
How To Do It:
To make this mask, simply split open the probiotic capsule and mix it into 3 or 4 tablespoons of Greek yogurt in a small bowl or dish. Using a cotton ball, apply the mixture to your face in an even layer. Let the mask set for 10 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.
Note: If you do not have a probiotic capsule, this mask is still very effective even if it’s only Greek yogurt! Also if you are lactose intolerant you might want to give this ice facial a try instead.
My skin always feels so soft and silky after I do this mask. I also notice a major reduction in redness…
Are you going to give this DIY a try? If you have a personal beauty recipe that you’d like to see featured on the website, share the details in the comments below.

3/4 tablespoons!!! Man, 1tsp is way more than enough to cover my face! Bit of a waste, unless you planning to do a full body mask, or use this for more than one person. -

I've been using greek yogurt as a DIY mask base for years and I love it. I usually mix in a squeeze of lemon, as a natural antibacterical/antiseptic to help keep my skin clear, and a little honey, which is also naturally antiseptic but also very moisturizing and calming. :) -

An at-home beauty remedy I like to try is a Honey Facial. You want to make sure that it's raw or organic honey and not the artificial stuff that is loaded with sugar and most likely a honey substitute.
A honey facial makes my skin soft, gives it a nice glow, and it removes any dead skin. -

Even if you are lactose intolerant, doesn't mean you can't use this mask! "Lactose intolerant" just means your body cannot digest lactose, because it doesn't have enough of the enzyme "lactase" to digest it. But if you use it on your skin, that's fine, it won't give you problems. If you are ALLERGIC to milk products, then that's completely different. Being allergic to milk products and being lactose intolerant are two totally different things. -
