A couple of weeks ago we shot the Paper Crown Spring 2012 Lookbook. The shoot went really well. After all, we were working with the dream team: Justin Coit (photographer) and TheBeautyDepartment.com's very own Amy Nadine (makeup) and Kristin Ess (hair).

The spring collection is very feminine with a glamorously retro twist. Think clean lines, luxurious details, and dainty accents. When styling the shoot, we accessorized lightly and mixed textures to give depth to each look. You'll find pieces you can wear everywhere: work, shopping or even your birthday party.

For the lookbook, we played off the collection's girly vibe by using flowers in shades of fuchsia, magenta and soft pink to spell out "Paper Crown" for the cover. We also did a few shots of our beautiful model with the flowers scattered around her, one of which ended up being our cover. The flowers were a bit of a mess though. We went to Whole Foods the day of the shoot and bought what felt like their entire selection of pink flowers. We individually cut off each and every stem and carefully arranged the bus and blossoms for the title shot. Even though it was an arduous process, the results were lovely...

Overall, the shoot was a great success and the photographs turned out beautifully!

While your new line is beautifully designed, I was pretty disappointed to see that the largest size your line went up to was an 8. I am a tall girl with a curvy figure and wear any where between sizes 8 and 12 in my blazers (12 if I want them looser fitting to mirror a menswear fit). I went to one of my fave local retailers who sells your line to purchase the Paper Crown Camel Blazer and your line ran small. I am surpised that your "Large" is an 8 when your other two lines- LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls and your first line Lauren Conrad Collection had a wider range of sizes for the varying body types of those who love your designs.
I hope that in your future collections you open up your sizes. I doubt that all the size 0-2 tweens that follow your career, enjoyed your previous shows, and read your books can seriously afford $276.00 for one piece of their Fall school wardrobe.
