Chic of the Week: Rachelle’s Emerald, Camel & Stripes
Happy Friday, ladies! Looking back on my past adventures with fashion, there have been several phases in my life where I’ve tried to squeeze myself into some (not so suitable) categories of style. I tried the hippie look for a while only to find that revamping my whole wardrobe with tie-dye maxis and hemp purses was not going to happen for me. I’ve also explored the über edgy route, which proved unsuccessful after I realized that it takes a certain fashionista to pull off the combat boot + studded leather jacket combo. Long story short, the classic style staples I have always returned to after these not-so-victorious adventures are nothing but classic, preppy and streamlined. Which brings me to our newest Chic of the Week…
Rachelle P., this preppy outfit hits all the right notes in my book. Your emerald, camel and striped style staples landed you a spot as this week’s Chic!
Rachelle’s outfit is a perfect example of how clean and traditional fashion is always in style. She layered a camel blazer over a blue and white striped shirt, and pared down her look with emerald green jeans and camel loafers. But my favorite detail has to be Rachelle’s perfectly placed gold brooch, pinned to the lapel of her blazer. This adorable outfit has “prep” written all over it!
